It’s bikini season all year long for Jessica Wong. The Miami resident of Jamaican descent is the owner and designer of her own swimsuit line, XhaleSwim which celebrates women and bodies of all shapes and sizes—an attribute that clearly aligns with our inclusive mindset here at Good American and motivated her to apply to our open casting.
Jessica is also a professional model who has experienced some of the size bias in the industry, aka not getting typical “fashion” jobs, but doesn’t want to be typecast just because of her killer curves. (AMEN!). As she puts it, “I’m anything but someone who should be put into a box.”
Somewhere amidst modeling and designing, Jess also finds time to share her learnings and “life hacks” with other women via her second Instagram handle @howjessdidit. How sweet is that? From her consideration around uplifting and supporting other women to her boundary-breaking outlook on the fashion industry, and it was clear we had to make her part of the Good Squad.
“There is a reason why you came looking like this so, you might as well fall in love with every piece of you. If there’s something you don’t like, work on it.”
